So long, year of the Bull, its been a ride. I grabbed your horns from time to time with many drink and glasses of wine. You roamed in a large field happy and free, a field surrounded by a fence so vast and wide you didn't even realize you were already captured by me.
2009 I thought would show promise, but instead it showed where I stood, where I am standing and where I should go. "Should" being the key word, would being the obvious choice and could meaning it does not mean I have to.

I think I'm usually ahead of the curve, I'm turning right before the turn begins. Then I'm bumping into shit, then, before you know it, even though I was right to turn left, I'm still a jerk for being right. I find the less I say the further I get were I need to go.

Natural Selection
History with me is like, well, I try not-ta-repeat my self, I side step though, then take one step back and then two forward. Slow and steady, wait calmly in stillness, maybe to some, boring, like a tortoise; who's not so boring but instead wise.
I just sit back and watch, been doing it for so long I think I might have even slowed down aging a bit. I think It's safe to say the only thing I repeat in life is my natural forgiveness being taken for granted from time to time. By those who seemingly are not naturally selected.
My independence is growing but its lonely at the same time, my liberation is strengthening but leaving less options for action these days.
On a clear day I can see forever, on a snowy day I can see her warm rosy cheeks. There is no quite, there is no storm coming. I don't drink to escape anymore and I'm eating like a king as I try to everyday. The road is wide and if I turn around I'll see you there and If I side step I might bump into you. |

Had three dinners on Xmas
I'm not a pig, but I ate plenty of it. Once in a blue I'll do the ChinaTown thing early in the afternoon with some peeps. Duck, shellfish, wine all that good stuff; yummy. I ate in a restaurant that's been open since 1978, then after we ate, went to Winnie's Bar that's been open for 27 years, got ham'rd then ate more ham. Man, after the city had the audacity of closing down CBGB's I never thought I'd be in a place open-for--more-than 30 years. My faith is restored in the quality of NYC dive life. And the people I hung with were great as well. |

4 people and 5 bottles of wine + a cup of aged 20 years-old wine.. Not drinking for nearly 30 days in a row and then to have a few for a few days after the 30 days of detox has made the flavor of the happy juice taste so much better. I think I'll drink less, as to enjoy the many occasional drinking's ahead.... huh? Maybe less is more?
Last Friday, was tuff, for my team for my friends, even though I have seen this before all I can do, all we can do, is just live the days one day at a time, stay true to your code of ethics, recap on your situation, regroup your status and prepare for that giant leap forward into bigger and better days.
Sometimes when you think your loosing you might really be gaining. Opportunities present themselves in ways you never have a proper condition for, it seems this is the theme of my and others recent days. |

Separation breeds closeness. Sometimes life is like that swing on the tree branch.
Back and fourth we go higher and faster to get our feet to touch the leaves. And when we do, we slow down a bit and to do it later, again. |
