"Forgiveness is primarily for our own sake, so that we no longer carry the burden of resentment. But to forgive does not mean we will allow in-justice again" ~Jackie K

This Sushi dinner I had with Steve and Jennie a few night ago was almost 80 dollars; wow, all I wanted was a hot green tea a bowl of rice with a freaken east-river-fish chopped up and slapped on top; jeez... And the three of us was still kinda hungry even after when we left the resturaunt.

Anyway, the last 4/5-days have been a bit liberating for me and I got a few things off my chest. At least I got it out in the open, I may have been a bit ruff about it but at least now some people know Im not the push over I make myself out to be sometimes. Im not talking about pool or the pool hall or anything related if your wondering. Im talking personal stuff. But for sure I had to be Macho to get my point across. Im not a bad guy, and I know I can be a bag sometimes, still, I am nobody's burden, I never was and I never will be; at least I hope I never was, my grandmother took very good care of me.

The little things #1...

“You know more than you think you know, just as you know less than you want to know” ~Oscar Wilde

it's the little things that tell you allot. The kind of little things most people will think or say '"don't let the little things get to you or always notice the little things." One day at a time I say to myself, tomorrow is another day I say to myself, better luck next season I say to myself. Sometimes people answer there own question before they even ask it. Sushi is one of my favorite little things, discovery of a new bridge is a nice new thing. A herd of turtles is always a good thing. Curry served in a not so hurry is a nice little thing. I can lay a long list of not so nice little things or very nice things, but I will not, I mean, what for? So I can forget Sushi? Chinese beef or chicken Curry? Whisky, Woman and team wonderment? Cue balls and April rain falls? Trying and persistence, motivation and thrill seeking, these are the little things that can go one way or another, the list is endless and changes from season to season. Its tricky with the words you choose, the people who choose you and meals you have from day to day.

“Feelings are not supposed to be logical. Dangerous is the man who has rationalized his emotions” ~David Borenstein

So he asks me. Why don't I like cats? And I reply, "I like cats, its just that they make me sneeze" and he asks, "is that the reason why you hate cats, cause they make you sneeze?" And I say "I donít hate cats, its not the cats fault I am allergic to there hair or fur, wouldn't I be a moron for hating something that has no fault about my unfortunate condition?î he looked at me as if I was being a smart ass. And then I stated, "I'm not going to tag a personal emotion to something that has or had nothing to do with me and my condition about cats." He bought me a shot and walked away.

"Stress is an important dragon to slay - or at least tame - in your life" ~Marilu Henner

Ya know. Normally I'd just cut and paste some meaning, definition or history on whatever it is I'm trying to give some connotation or sense to, but I found so much stuff online about Dragons, types of Dragons and its gist, there past and how I will hypothesize what it means that I found one (a dragon) on the way to the lab Friday morning; so, I think I will not cut and paste and just speculate. That It is a sign, but I will not dwell on it nor will I have any expectation of some in the near futur issue or event. But yes, I found a Dragon, on the streets of NYC. With the sun shinning on it-way out of my visual peripheral to notice it physically yet still, I noticed it but not by seeing it. So there I looked up and there it was, I plucked it from the suns rays and into my possession, and felt that I was with something and not something with me. Am I crazy? It's just a statue of a cute little Chinese Dragon.

I thought

1995

Im getting that, 'the days are all bleeding into each other again' feeling. These last few months have been infront of me and not left behind. Could be the booze freezing my sensibilities, I'm dreading going home, I'm forgetting names of people I've known for years, and having sober recalls in my drunken state. Though I have been slowing down with the booze I now feel it even more when I do indulge with the fun juice. Yesterday, I got sloshed woke up kind of feeling embarrassed about it, don't know why, maybe it was the "I love you Man" stage I got into. I'm growing in a way I never been before, or, more like swimming to a place I have never tred before. My personal life is getting muddy, even when I try and stay out of the way of people, but somehow they move toward were Im constantly moving away from.

Its as if, with out my attention they dont have a means to properly avoid me. Its like that silly black sheep behavior thing some people do: In order for me to be an outsider I first have to be part of something to be out side of; Im not any-bodys burden, I just want to move at my own pace, play, drink, dance, and so on. Maybe it is time for me grow up, make a family and move on to a diffrent place. (Im still gonna shoot though)

Just wanted to share

On March 24th 2009.
A field of 7 played this past Tuesday for $170 in prize funds. There was a very strong showing of players at the B and C level. They changed the start times of the tournament to 7:30pm from 7:00pm. But everyone gets free practice starting at 7:00pm. George did an excellent job managing the event. Soho Billiards gave us the entire lower level.

Congratulations to Joe Wall (B+) and Robert Plaut (C+) made it to the finals, splitting the pot $85 a piece.

Congratulations to

Gail Glazebrook

for taking first place!

On March 31st, 2009. Soho Billiards hosted it's third Tuesday night tournament A field of 13 players came out to show their skills in the double elimination event. Winner's side action saw Gail Glazebrook and Manny Mying for the hot seat.

Gail ran into a close call with Swankie on the winner's side. After being down 6-3, she would come back to tie it at 6-6. Then Gail had a break and run in the final rack to win a chance at the hot seat match.

Manny had a tough one getting to the hot seat as well but managed to scoot by Martin with the win.

The one loss side saw battles between Martin, Swankie and John, with a close call between Crisp Farp and Martin resulting in Martin taking the one-loss side to face the loser of the hot seat match.

www.sohobilliards.com

Manny had a tough match with Gail. At 3-2, it looked to be a close match, but after two 9-ball combos, Gail began to run away with the match and defeated Manny 7-3. Manny seemed to be running out of steam. After starting the night off strong, Martin just had more energy in him and in the wee hours of the morning, defeated Manny 5-3. Though Martin and Gail decided to split the money, a short race to 5 was to determine the winner. Gail ended up taking the win with a 5-3 victory.

George once again did a great job running a smooth tournament. Races in the future will be shorter in the effort to tournament go by faster. Join us next Tuesday for another B-C-D tournament.
