About June 50th, 2008.

About June 50th 2008. Are you trying to be number one? One is the loneliest number.... I got more years behind me then I do ahead of me... I don’t have any children but I have an air.

I hope it doesn’t rain toads while I’m out side. People are inspired by ideas, influenced by time. Don’t be aggressive, instead, be passively damaging to the parts they dont need to hold on to; so he says.  Do you remember when you didn't say don’t put me up? Keeping the faith.

I stood home, ate Mac and cheese with a steak, thanks mom. I'm doing ok. I need to get rid of my gut though, well, its not a gut its a lazy pot belly; I like to eat.

You know what I cant stand, maybe its because I'm getting older and my friends are getting precious.

I don’t like when I lose my friends to Yoko types, are you a Yoko ono? Don’t break up my team Yoko ono, can you tell I cant stand Yoko ono's?

I have my own religion you know; it is a cross between being kind of a catholic priest, a rabbi and a Buddhist version Rob zombie. I play pool, I’m not bad, I know what a good game is even if I don’t have one. You don't need to have game to know what game is.

Taking chances is the rational for irrational behavior and leaps of faith. Black, Kenneth Cole shoes, being sheik with a quiet power, doesn’t mean you need to wear a tie at a dinner date. Beer, cold, frothy yes, it taste best after a hard day of work.

Pseudo-bohemian Hipster, maybe, but I like being a captain of a pool team.

I’m chugging beer down like water on those sultry evenings in July after the fire works.  I need to go to the met at least once a week.

Chicks look hot in wife beater tees and tight jeans. I need to go to the gym. I’m not big on karaoke. I like corn bread.

About Last Wed and Thurs

Wed and Thurs Night, Drinking and Playing.

Rosie the Riveter

Women who had been employed in fields predominated by women-pink collar secretarial positions, domestic jobs and lower paying industrial positions were eager to try their hands at the new opportunities. Soon they were successfully doing things only men had done before. Women became taxi and streetcar drivers, pool and Pocket billiard shooters, operated heavy construction machinery (Riveters-hence the name 'Rosie the Riveter'), worked in lumber and steel mills, unloaded freight, built dirigibles, made munitions and much more. Men's jobs always paid more, and this was women's only chance to step up and earn more.

Rosie The Riveter was the name given to the woman depicted on many of the propaganda posters. In the most famous one, she is wearing a red and white bandana to cover her hair, and she has rolled back the sleeve of her blue coverall to expose a flexed bicep. The expression on her face was confident and determined. The caption above her head reads, "We Can Do It!" in bold letters.

About the last few days

"Never mistake knowledge for wisdom. One helps you make a living, the other helps you make a life" ~Sandra Carey

"Before I travelled my road I was my road"  ~Antonio Porchia, Voces, 1943, translated from Spanish by W.S. Merwin

Back to the beginning, got that feeling of winning, first place with only one inning. It’s like being kicked backed 12 steps 12 months long. Back to square one with out any fun. Starting over again with my co-captain friend. Its all right, to keep up the fight, crying about will get you no-were. I have to be cleaver wearing a hat with a feather. Time moves on with old friends gone; sorta. New things arise, like my game being alive; sorta.

"What’s the difference between winning and losing? We didn't lose the game; we just ran out of time" ~William Fuentes and Vince Lombard...

"Sometimes it's necessary to go a long distance out of the way in order to come back a short distance correctly"  ~Edward Albee
