Entry: July 31st, 2008 / August 2nd, 2008. Saturday

2:48 pm Saturday 2008 at home. Yeah I know. I’m slow on the updates again. Been kind of busy doing things, living life, mostly, sitting back and regrouping, my, self; I guess. The summer is almost over, and I have yet still to do so many things I want to get going on need to get done. It’s all-good. My knee is killing me though, along with my back and my body. I think with time, I am starting to notice, when changes happen, whether it is you or the people around you, the foundation of all, is still the same if you look deep enough, if you still remember enough, I guess this is what web-log entries are for, to help you remember, to remind you were you came from; and were you came from is from a lot of different times, allot of different moments, all with the same foundation.

About Last Thursday Night to Friday Morning ...

I barely remember this night, Thursday, team 9ball, Pocket Porn Stars was off and moved to play a random Sunday. I know it was a short time ago (last Thursday), but I was so hammerd on wine, I must of been on some kind of auto pilot person-character. I can vaguely recall, Helen always on the nine, Caroline showed up; I thought she was lost or something. there was a doubles match going on, the girls were winning, Eddies laughing, alot, I played; I think, and everybody was really happy to be at ABC till 3 in the morning becuse it was two for the price of one drink specail Thursday night starting at 10pm. All Summer baby-MEeeEeEYaaAAaAaaH!!!!

About the Jim Murnak Women's Open ...

Last weekend , Comet Billiards, hosted the Women’s Open Predator 9-ball Event sponsored by Jim Murnak Cue Cases. The event brought in WPBA pros Liz Ford, Meghan Minerich and Caroline Pao. Iris Ranola, who has been cleaning up the regional events attended, along with recent Tri-State Invitational runner up Gail Glazebrook and the always deadly Emily Duddy arrived with Asia, who recently won the JPNEWT qualifier spot.

The draw brought a very difficult 1st round match for Iris Ranola and Meghan Minerich. After moving here in February from the Philippines, Iris is a recent powerhouse edition to the northeast women’s events, winning many of the region’s qualifiers this year. Meghan Minerich, sponsored by Gallery Billiards, has been on the pro circuit for a number of years now. The ladies traded racks back and forth until a costly 8-ball miss proved deadly for Minerich and allowed Ranola to pull ahead and close the match 7-5, sending Minerich to the one-loss side much earlier than expected.
Liz Ford was playing very strong pool this weekend. After a 7-0 win over Glazebrook, she continued her dominance on the winner’s side until she met with Caroline Pao in the quarter finals. Pao started the day with a nail-biter in the first round as Olga Gashkova fought tooth and nail against the WPBA pro, but a 6-ball miss in rack 13 allowed Pao to squeeze out the win 7-6. After that Pao blazed through the winner’s side to meet up with Ford. This was a great match as both players were equaling hungry for the win. At hill-hill it was still a coin toss as to who was going to take the match. Pao proved victorious as she clenched the win 7-6.

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."

-~Winston Churchill

The day was long and draining and so in the late hours of the event, both Ranola and Ford decided to crown the other as champion of the event, so the first Predator Women’s Open 9-ball Event crowned Iris Ranola and Liz Forst co-champions of the tournament. Congratulations to both ladies for a great tournament and thank you again Jim Murnak for sponsoring the event.

“In the third stage of adult-hood, intelligent attention has to be paid not only to one's own advancement and the advancement of the family and society but also to the advancement of the people generally. That too is the responsibility of the grown-ups and they must acquire the skills necessary. They must have wider visions of the peace and prosperity of all mankind, and try to contribute to both, within the limits of their capacity and resources; 'a little fun cant hurt as well' ” ~Sri Sathya Sai Baba/WF, quotes

BLACK WOLF DREAM. On 7-10-08
There were two clans, living in my home; my home, wow, a giant palace of huge rooms and endless corridors with a ceiling higher then the eye can see. The two wolf clans, first one, black-fur, young and inocent, whom which all bonded with me quickly, and the other, black fur as well but more like shadows, and much older.

From the older clan, there were two leaders, each standing, on their hind legs, like a man, they just stared at me from a far. As the other younger clan gathered around me in joy of our friendship, the older clan had my respect because of it.

As I went about in my gigantic home with the younger clan and getting to know them, the older clan watches us from a distance, from within the shadowed corners of my home. My home felt like a giant forest, except instead of trees, large doorways and long hallways, vas and huge was its clustered bushes and leaves; you couldn’t even see the ceiling things were so tall.

My brother was in the dream. Dreams jump from one moment to the next without notice of time. In my dream, my brother did something to the wolves, something I did not like.

He took both clans and he put them else were and said to me after I ask him were are the wolves. “These wolves do not belong here”, I told him “when I bring them back, they will judge you”. He told me were they were and I went to go get them.

I found them, (the wolves) and when I brought them back to my home, but instead of my brother being in my home, there were other people in his place, I do not remember who these people were, but wolves were gathering to judge these people, then I woke up, I woke up feeling immersed and left wanting to know what was meaning of my dream and what am I not seeing in my wake.

BEAR. On 7-12-08
A few days later after my wolf dream, I had another dream about a bear, a large bear, this dream was not like the wolf dream, this dream was more like, a collage of moving images, choppy, chaotic. I can barely remember what went on, things in it were more of images jumping in front of each other, almost like looking out the window of a fast moving train, with sounds not in sync with what I was trying see clearly. I remember, flashing images, rain, people, the sound of an 8ball break, distortion, it was happening around the bear, but the bear was huge and in control. That is all I can remember of the dream, I woke up one minute before my alarm went off, still, I did wake up with feeling like I new the answer, but had no idea what the question was.
