“Depending on the day, everybody almost looks the same from A to D” ~ Remo Chang.

Amsterdam Billiards Club is swimming with schools of piranha. D’s, and C’s are running tables, not consistently, which makes the difference and the reason why for the A player and a D player skill level, still, with the amount of weight that’s given and taken is consistency still a factor?

Fish can be deadly if not eaten correctly; sushi, blowfish, Mmm.

A shark can be eaten if there’s a school of D’s hanging around the pool. A big fish in a little pond does not a champion make when all the guppies have sharp teeth and swim in large numbers. Anybody can eat anybody on the table on any given day.

"Fearlessness knows no skill level"

"Great skill on the pool table does not make one a professional. Professionalism is a lot more than that; skill”.

"The fly sat upon the axel-tree of the chariot-wheel and said, What a dust do I raise!" ~ Aesop

Delusions of Grandeur - a delusion (common in paranoia) that you are much greater and more powerful and influential than you really are.

You need people around you in order to properly impose your delusions of grandeur; I mean, you gotta be crazy to be yelling about how great you are to a plant; sadly people patronize delusions from time to time.

Anybody can be whatever they want, and believe it, and that’s ok, sort of. But beating your own drum with no rhythm or harmony is just loud annoying nonsense, most people will just tune out in the long run.

"Beat your drum inside the house to spare the neighbors"

"Be not disturbed at being misunderstood; be disturbed at not understanding"

"A wise man makes his own decisions, an ignorant man follows public opinion"

If there were a handicap, that would be more of an advantage and not a ‘challenge/disadvantage' for the competitive game of pool and billiards, it would be… not being able to hear your opponent or any of the audible distractions around the table as you are attempting to get the ball in the hole. Heckling, sharking, the audience applauding for your opponent after you miss the hole, and my favorite, the passive aggressive insinuating criticism you hear out side of the felt before or/and after your game. This, is something the shooter/artist should always expect. There is no such thing as a pool-hall with out any challengers; there is no such thing as a criticism-less art gallery. I wouldn’t take comments or criticism too personal though, from a stranger, acquaintance, family member or other familiars around the hall or gallery.

How To Handle Criticism, by boloji.com/individuality

Criticism can be of three kinds:

1. That which is justified and fair.
2. That which may be justified but is delivered in a hostile manner.
3. The unjustified or brutal put-down.
Most people react badly to all three types of criticism. We tend to take critical remarks as a direct attack on our total worth. People in the arts and professions, if they are good at what they do, use constructive criticism to their advantage. But most of us go to great lengths to avoid getting criticized.

The first step in learning to handle criticism: Make sure you are really being criticized.

Most of the time, if you bother to examine the situation, no criticism was really intended.
Also, do not invite criticism by such asking insincere questions such as – Did you really like it? Or How did I do? If you can't take a frank and honest answer to such questions you are better off not asking them. If a criticism is justified, see it in its proper perspective. If a criticism is unjustified, practice control. Stay cool. Do not give the person who has

BOLOJI forgot to add "kind of Criticism" number 4, the worst one of all, The passive aggress insinuation-Criticism.

Friday

I haven’t been writing much, @ least in not the last few months, still, these last few months, have been, enlightening; easy on the “have-been” heavy on the “lightening”. I just sit back and watch, step back, and look at the larger picture; at least I try too without getting too involved.

Sometimes I get too close to the picture, then seemingly I miss the events happening outside my peripheral, or maybe I choose to ignore them. My recent flu from last February reactivated a few days ago, I feel horrible.

I’ve been letting go lately, my weight my game my hair and a few other things. I’m grateful, things can be worse, things can be better, but I wont settle for less, even though sometimes I do settle just to avoid an issue.

This Flu stinks. My head feels like its being smothered by two giant pillows one on each ear, my thoughts are jumbled but my awareness is clear.

The last few months are like many others. I would say “Same shit different day” but then that would mean I choose not to change my way.
