Anybody
who says "you only have yourself to blame" is
just not very good at blaming other people

Learn
the diffrence betwen right and wrong. You'll
probably choose wrong, but you should at least
know which is which

be ashamed of your mood swings. I mean, who

Yesterday
I didn’t feel like shooting or the day before
that as well, but I had too. It is a Captains reasonability
when you are short a player or two or your numbers
exceed
the 23-point rule. I have been this way for a while,
the "not wanting to shoot mode", almost since Vegas.
I have almost gotten most of the required point for
my teams
since then, barley, But I feel I have drained myself
of that GET IN THE HOLE feeling. Any who, I shot,
and I lost. Yesterday I played pool and it
was like I was trying to have sex with out a hard
on. I went
through the motion but had no turn-on for the game
so the results were lame. I just was not
in the mood, but I had too anyway. The team we played
were nice
people. They are not exactly placed in the running
for the playoffs but they still played like it was
the first day of the season, they played like they
were setting the tone for the time. I will have some
pics up about this Mondays match but right now I
need to gather my wits. I have been trying be Zen
these last few weeks, but my fire has been trying
to re-spark with outlandish and jumping to conclusion
thoughts. I need to rethink and rephrase some of
the things I say and think. I need to not judge and
step back to see the whole picture.

Thursday:
Happy Thanksgiving…
Gobble-gobble. That's what was happening to my sense of Thanksgiving.
It definitely gobbles up something. It is almost the same everywhere
you go. I hear a lot, "I love my family but you know, if I stay
with them too long it gets crazy. I left my home because of my family
but my love for them has grown since I have been away . . . and vice
versa. We get along better now then ever before." I rarely hear, "Yeah,
I can move back home with no problem." Well fuckin' good for you.
Anyway, my Thanksgiving was good. It was classic. Turkey with a whole
lot of sides. Alison cooked most of the food. It was all-good. I bonded
with Genever on Thanksgiving Day; our relationship has moved to a new
level. I am glad we had Thanksgiving together. It was needed, for us.
It was the first one I had away from home in about five years, since
my little brother.
Michael
I dreamt of my little brother after
Thanksgiving Day. I cried in
my sleep, in my dream, about
Michael. I almost woke up crying.
I dreamt we both
were we were both superheroes battling villains. He got killed in battle.
I was sad when I woke up. Strange, It might have been the combination
of hot apple-cider with cinnamon-sticks and Captain Morgan rum along
with playing Xbox all night. The game I played was called "House
of the Dead" – a shoot 'em up Zombie game. I was ok; I had
a good Thanksgiving. |

Friday:
Bar Fight…
Friday 2:00am. A pool game, one winner one loser.
Then: finger poking, name-calling, a bottle over
the head with a side of swinging pool stick.
A punch in the jaw, head-locking, biting of the
arm. Yup, Friday night was fun. I got blood all
over my hundred and thirty-five dollar and ninety-eight
cents Armani Sweater. Blood on my boots and glass
shards in my hand and arm as well. Afterward
I smoked a cig while walking in the cold with
a bloodied fight clubber and smushied up hare.
Adrenalin was still going a little so I hardly
felt the cold, and the blood was drying on my
sweater. Finally my bouncer status was official.
I felt like Patrick Swayze in Road House except
I don't have a mullet. In the famous words of
the Juice, "I almost felt like I had to
whip out the jammy and flat bash both of 'em."
See
a fight here... |
Saturday,

Genever's
marker was a Julie Maxi Pad from
the 1940's or 50's found by James and Michelle...
The
pad had the
right absorbtion for the eight ball in the
hole shot. It
was a soooo fresh and safe feeling night
for team Stick It In.

| Later
this afternoon (Wed) on ICQ I write to Gen "The

My Monday Team. Rumbelfish now Get In The Hole.
---
Putting together a team is much more than it seems. I think when
one decides or is given the opportunity to captain a pool team
the first thing one would have to partake in is the task of seeking
people with appropriate personalities who will work well with
other personalities, outside and inside of the team, teams and
divisions of the APA. Character always comes with certain qualities,
sometimes hidden Character is discovered or/and exposed at an
awkward or pressure match moment. The Captain must deal with
this appropriately. I think one would need to have a profound
back ground in people interacting experience or at least have
some public relation skill along with a basic idea of social
psychology 101 understanding to predict the outcome of two or
more people interacting with each other. An experienced bar tender
would have the basic people skill to make prediction of teamwork
interaction. Skill on the pool table is not necessarily a major
factor in making teamwork. But if you want your team to respect
your management you better at least know how hold a cue correctly
make a decent shot consistently and most importantly make a fucken
ball in the hole without patting your self on the back afterward.
Trail and error has whispered this in my ear during the night
for many years watching and working for and with on the APA as
a captain and as a team player. This is only the first thing
I am talking about, “thing” meaning management, be
an ear for your players words, be partial and understanding for
your moods he brings to the table, pay for his match that he
or she won when he or she broke, dealing suitably with the wins
and looses of your players. There are many more “things” that
are involved in making a team walk the road together for the
sake of personal best, excellence and team ship with your friends
and respected ones. I play on the APA raison d'être it’s
a community that entails opportunities for a “one” to
show during that race for merit with others of who you are and
what you are made of.
|
 |
Personally
I really don’t believe too much in the handicap system
of the APA, not too much, but every now and then you do come
across an "authentic" level two or level seven on the pool
table. On
that note the system can be used. Unless you have a better
idea? |

1.
Macho Mouth
To keep attacking with words too
a "some-one” in
an inappropriate manner until that “one” gets
irritated enough to get Macho with you. Manipulating
ones disposition from one brief moment to the next
in a short period of time.
-To goad one into a mode of anger and aggression.
-To get underneath ones skin to attain a sense
of control.
Cool and collective Tom was playing
pool with Dumb-ass Dick and Dumb-ass
Dick started too
rudely and obnoxiously
criticize Tom’s game during his shooting.
To get Macho’ed the
reaction would be.
To be in a calm and cool manner in one moment
and then suddenly manipulated too an agitated
and hot-tempered
manner after being attacked by a Macho Mouth.
